This Post is going to talk about a topic which is always in the center of discussion in blogging community but is not understood. Here we are talking about Why you should Write Daily? The reasons are many but I am not going to talk about SERP, SEO, Page Rank, Readers Engagement and similar stuff. But we are trying to make our part-time bloggers understand importance of regular posting beyond PageRanking, SERP and other stuff. So as to start with I ask a Basic Silly Question.
Why are you writing on your Blog?
I give you few options as answer for this question:-
1. To keep Readers Interested in my Blog.
2. To make my Blog Shine at top of the box in Search Engines and to do well in Page Ranking.
If your answer is number 2 this post is not for You. Shocking isn’t it??
For those whose answer is Number 1, I elaborate the answer 1 to above question. Just to make you understand how it feels to be a blogger….. I write my Blog Post to feed my Zeal of Writing. I believe in Living for my dreams. It is of no harm to anybody Isn’t It?
I am presenting you Bullets which will drive you to write your blog post daily:-
- Start Writing for Yourself:- Take your post as an opportunity to learn and share experiences with your readers. If you share knowledge it will grow steadily. Someone rightly said “Stagnant water holds lots of disease whereas flowing water is always pure”.
- Be A reader to your Own Blog:- Subscribe to your newsletter and Feeds and read it as if you are reading to some other writer just to understand readers opinion towards your blog. And also to understand how it feels as a follower to see a Blank Day (No Post Update) of your favorite Blog
- People are not here to read stories:- Your readers are not here to read stories of your last trip to Manila(You can obviously write about trips to anywhere in world if you are a celebrity travel blogger). But for others readers in your website are there to feel how it feels to be in Manila. Story telling is not always successful it takes you away from your readers. Because you try to write every post as a Story Which is obviously not possible and hence you move away from your readers and there viewpoints. Blog is an two way business it is to gain and to share. If any blog site in world ever become a one sided affair(either side), it will fade away soon.
- Take A Stroll Away from Your Laptop:- Just to understand what all solutions people surrounding you including your father,mother siblings or neighbors are looking for and how can you resolve them. You never know a Fantastic post can drop by in your mind even in junkyard.
The Content should always be kept at center before you go ahead to write any post. Every reader wants to know at what field you are expert in. You cannot be Mashable, Huffington Post, Lifehacker, Labnol, Savedelete, Shoumeloud all at a time. They are expert in one or the other fields and that is what they are admired for. Consider your niche and explore opportunities to fill up every topic of your niche in your blog. Later you can surely move ahead with another idea of blog.
Shallow niche is a strict no-no if you are planning to take your blog as a full-time career opportunity. Because it will leave no options for you as blogger over a period of time.
Few Questions I leave here for you to adjudge yourself and if any question has Answer as NO. Please fix it before it hits you back Big time:-
- Have You Decided Niche of Your Blog?
- Do you Know which posts are most admired by your readers?
- Are you consistent in Posting?
- Had you covered all topics in your niche?
